George Dallas

Before joining Builders Initiative, George spent seven years as a Program Associate at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, initially focusing on early education and children’s health grantmaking. After two years, he transitioned to the Ocean Initiative where he supported grantmaking operations and strategy implementation across the global seafood markets and Japanese marine strategies. George began his career as an Administrative Assistant to the Executive Office at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. He has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a minor in French from Virginia Tech.

Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, George spent nearly a decade in the Bay Area where he developed a deep passion for and connection to nature, the ocean, and outdoor adventure. In his free time, you can find him tending to his community garden plot, digging through crates of vinyl, eating street tacos, and meandering through forests.
